The company PUREMAT Technologies sells ultra-high purity materials, Mn and Mg, for MBE and other semiconductor technologies. The materials are prepared using a new method of purification and preparation. This new and innovative method is particularly effective for removal of oxygen, carbon, sulfur, and metallic contaminants.
The PUREMAT Technologies offer ultra-high purity (5N and 6N) magnesium pieces, ingots, and targets with 2 and 3 inch diameters. In the two dimensional AIIBVI structures prepared by the Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) method magnesium is used to create an energy barrier. In the AIIIBV semiconductor compounds, such as GaN, Mg is an acceptor which allows to make light emitting p-n junctions.
We offer ultra-high purity (5N and 6N) manganese in the form of pieces or ingots. Semiconductors with Mn belong to the group of semi-magnetic semiconductors (SMS) or diluted-magnetic semiconductors (DMS) known for their giant magneto-optical effects. The presence of Mn in SMS lattice leads to a spin-spin exchange interaction between the bound electrons and the localized 3d electrons of Mn2+ ions.
